Fordham University Unveils the Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center
Innovative and flexible professional certificate programs in the heart of Manhattan will invigorate careers beginning spring 2017
NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Fordham University -- one of the country's most esteemed institutions – is proud to announce a new, innovative program at its Lincoln Center campus for real estate professionals: the Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center. Beginning in spring 2017, enrollees will have access to first-class professional certificate programs in the real estate capital of the world.
Students can pursue a six-course certificate, or take select courses, in four areas: Finance and Investment, Financial Modeling, Development, and Construction Project Management. Areas of study range from valuation and private equity to investment analysis and project management.
Flexibility is a core tenet of the program: Classes can be taken either in-person at the centrally-located Lincoln Center Campus, or online from anywhere in the world. In addition to the six-week in-person and online courses, students also have the option to take an intensive, one-week certificate track at Lincoln Center.
Developed for current professionals, up-and-coming professionals, and investors/owners in the real estate industry, the Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center matches a practical curriculum with masterful instructors. Adjunct faculty are industry veterans from companies like Lockheed Martin Corporation, MetLife, Jones Lang LaSalle, CBRE and others.
Housed in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, the new real estate certificate programs underscore its mission of enabling people to develop and maximize their potential.
"The Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center is about imparting industry knowledge, teaching real-world skills, and accelerating careers," says Anthony R. Davidson, PhD, MBA, dean of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. "Students have the opportunity to be part of something new and unrivaled. No other universities are offering certificate programs that match Fordham's quality and flexibility."
Robert Morgenstern, director of non-degree real estate programs at the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, said, "The Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center offers a variety of professional certificate programs designed by accomplished industry practitioners who draw their expertise from the real estate and construction industries in New York City -- one of the world's most dynamic and sophisticated real estate markets."
"Our certificate courses offered at Lincoln Center and online provide valuable technical and analytical skills to enable industry professionals to gain an in-depth understanding of the profession, and to stay on top of the latest developments," Morgenstern adds.
Registration is open now for spring 2017. The program is also planning a summer term with additional intensive courses, and is exploring expanding its in-person classes to Fordham's Bronx and Westchester campuses.
