Ford O'Brien LLP Continues Expansion With Addition Of Seasoned Litigator

NEW YORK, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford O'Brien LLP, a White Collar Defense & Litigation boutique law firm headquartered in New York, is pleased to announce that Robert Landy has joined the firm as Partner, effective April 1, 2016.  Prior to joining Ford O'Brien, Robert was a litigator at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP, as well as a sole practitioner.

Mr. Landy has lectured and written on topics relating to hedge fund litigation and expert discovery under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.  He obtained his law degree from the New York University School of Law with the honors of magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.  Robert was selected by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star for litigation in the New York metro area in both 2014 and 2015.

In addition to Mr. Landy, Ford O'Brien has recently added Suzanne Pope as Special Counsel to the firm.  Ms. Pope previously served as a Senior Counsel in the SEC's Division of Enforcement as well as National Supervising Counsel for Chrysler Corporation Warranty Litigation.  Ms. Pope obtained her JD from the Georgetown University Law Center.  The firm has also recently added Associate Ian Dewsbury, former judicial extern for the Honorable, Jack B. Weinstein, and a co-author of: On the Meaning of "Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt."  Mr. Dewsbury earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Chicago.
