Ford Concludes Successful Pilot Program -The People's Fleet - and Awards $10,000 to Red Eye, Inc
EIGHT WEEKS, TWELVE ORGANIZATIONS AND THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE DELIVERED
- Ford Motor Company concluded its successful non-profit pilot program, The People's Fleet, and announced Los Angeles-based Red Eye, Inc. as its $10,000 award recipient
- Red Eye, Inc. community member Jeremy Jackson to implement photography program for families living on Los Angeles' Skid Row with awarded funds
- The program engaged twelve organizations throughout Los Angeles over the course of eight weeks by providing them with brand new Ford Fiestas to use while performing their charitable missions
- The Los Angeles community was engaged by watching online videos of selected non-profit organizations delivering their charitable work, while also submitting their own ideas to the program's 'It's Your LA' contest to determine what social changes should be made to better their community
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford Motor Company celebrates the conclusion of its successful pilot program dubbed The People's Fleet that brought twelve non-profit organizations together with the company's newly redesigned and reintroduced Ford Fiesta over the course of eight weeks. Ford also announced that Southern California-based Red Eye, Inc. received a $10,000 grant to implement The Skid Row Photography Experience – a portrait program for underprivileged/homeless families and individuals living on the streets of Los Angeles.
Red Eye, Inc. community member Jeremy Jackson was selected to implement the program following online voting by The People's Fleet followers within the Los Angeles community. In addition, Red Eye members from Sydney, London and Hong Kong were actively engaged in the online voting process.

The chosen organization, Red Eye, Inc., is making a difference by providing an outlet for Hollywood's young creative community to come together, using talent and influence to create change in their communities. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, the organization offers resources and networking for its members to engage in humanitarian relief, social events and exploration of culture and arts.
