Forbes Ranks Hillsdale College Among Top Private Colleges in the Nation
HILLSDALE, Mich., July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Forbes has again ranked Hillsdale College among the private colleges in the nation, placing it at #142 among private colleges and #38 in the Midwest for return on investment, which is among the top 150 private colleges in the country. Hillsdale is also the top-ranked college nationwide that refuses all federal or state taxpayer funding—even indirectly in the form of student grants and loans.
"Hillsdale College's inclusion on Forbes' list of 'America's Top Colleges' reaffirms the success of our core curriculum and a rigorous, classical liberal arts education," said Dr. David Whalen, provost of Hillsdale College. "Our curriculum educates students to become better citizens by understanding what is required to live a moral and virtuous life."
Forbes partners with the Washington, D.C.-based Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CCAP) to rank America's top 650 colleges. The list purports to determine a student's return-on-investment from attending a particular college.
