Forbes Names Convene as one of America's 100 Most Promising Companies

NEW YORK, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Forbes magazine has recognized Convene (www.convene.com) as one of the most promising companies in America among high-growth, privately-held companies with annual revenue under $250 million.

Forbes, one of the largest and most influential business publications in the United States, released the third annual listing late last week

"Rocketship growth is not uncommon on our list of America's Most Promising Companies… In fact, it's what we look for. Colao, Forbes reporter, writing in Forbes about what it takes to make the list.

In 2013, Convene was named by Crain's New York Business as the 'fastest growing company based in New York City' partially on the basis of its 'rocketship-like' 3,463 percent rise in sales from 2009 to 2012. The company is also creating a new market by introducing a network of conference centers and integrated services, based on its human-centered design process, for off-site business meetings.

Convene, the nation's fastest growing conference center network, currently operates four conference centers in Manhattan, having just opened its first ground level location at 101 Park Ave. near Grand Central Terminal. The company will be opening its first conference center outside of New York City. Its 1800 Tysons Boulevard conference center in Tysons Corner, Virginia marks the beginning of Convene's national expansion when it opens next month. The location is designed to serve the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region.
