For Fifth Straight Year, FleishmanHillard Named to NAFE's 'Top Companies for Executive Women'
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fifth consecutive year, FleishmanHillard has been named to the "Top Companies for Executive Women" list by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). The honor, which will appear in the February/March issue of Working Mother magazine, highlights organizations whose policies and practices encourage the advancement of women's careers. Results are based on factors such as succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender pay parity, support programs and work-life balance.
This recognition comes on the heels of NAFE's selection of Lynne Anne Davis, FleishmanHillard president of Asia Pacific, as a "Global Women's Champion," based on her record of achieving a 50/50 gender balance among her region's leadership while delivering strong, profitable growth.
"Our firm is built on the power of true," said Dave Senay, FleishmanHillard president and CEO. "And when it comes to our people, we believe in the power of true opportunity for everyone. One of our most important missions is to enhance our workplace, ensuring it continues to provide an abundance of growth and is a culture people are proud of."
"When we were named to this prestigious list for the first time five years ago, we knew we couldn't rest on our laurels," said Agnes Gioconda, chief talent officer. "We have continued to hire, promote and train the industry's best professionals and are thrilled to receive this recognition once again."
While many factors are weighed to determine the companies that appear on NAFE's list, a few of the reasons for FleishmanHillard's continued recognition include:
- Women make up 67 percent of the firm's worldwide workforce.
- They make up half of the agency's corporate executives with profit-and-loss responsibility.
- 75 percent of employees promoted last year were women.
- Women oversee several of the firm's global regions, including Asia Pacific and the U.S. Central and Southwest regions.
- Women hold the following executive leadership roles: chief marketing officer, chief talent officer, chief information officer, general counsel.
"In its five years on the NAFE Top Companies list, FleishmanHillard has propelled increasing numbers of women into the senior executive ranks," said Dr. Betty Spence, NAFE president. "The strong profits that Global Women's Champion Lynne Anne Davis and her Asia Pacific team are clocking in their region are just one example of how well that approach is working. We applaud the firm for demonstrating that putting women in charge pays off!"
