Moniker Live and Extended Domain Auctions

This year's live and extended domain auctions at DOMAINfest will include:

• Moniker Low & No Reserve Domain Auction on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 5-6 p.m. Pacific time
• Moniker Premium Domain Auction on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 4:30-6 p.m. Pacific time. 

Both auctions offer simultaneous live in-person as well as online remote real-time bidding.

• The Moniker Extended Premium Domain Auction, involving online bidding only, will be held from Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the conclusion of the live auction to Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 12:15 p.m. Pacific time.

• Pre-bids can be submitted online for domains listed in the Low & No Reserve live auction until February 1 at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
• Pre-bids for the Premium live auction may be made until February 3 at 9 a.m. Pacific time.
• The highest bid for each domain will then become the starting bid in the live auction. 
• All live auction pre-bidders will be notified via e-mail of their positions in the auction along with instructions for joining the live and extended auction.

Domain Names to Be Auctioned for Generation Rescue

The auction will include the sale of two donated domain names—iCart.com, donated by Internet REIT, Inc, (iREIT), and savants.org, donated by Shahram Shokrian (DNBA.org) —with the proceeds going to Generation Rescue, actress Jenny McCarthy's foundation for the treatment and prevention of autism and chronic illness.

The donated names will be auctioned during the live auction event Thursday afternoon. The two winning bidders will receive limousine transportation to DomainSponsor's Fundraising party at the Playboy Mansion, accompanied by two Playmate hostesses.  The winners will also be given a private tour of the Mansion grounds by the hostesses.

Evening Networking Events

DOMAINfest Global will host three evening social events during the conference to give attendees an opportunity to network and have fun:

• Polynesian Paradise Party.  Tuesday evening's event will be held in the conference hotel's Pool Terrace and Miramar Gardens from 6:00-9:00 p.m.  Sponsored by .CO, this party will feature Polynesian music, dancers and cocktails.  There will also be a worst Hawaiian shirt contest.
• The Golden Era of Hollywood Party at SkyBar. Wednesday evening's event, sponsored by VeriSign, will be held at the Mondrian Hotel's famous SkyBar on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood from 8:00-11:00 p.m.  The party will feature music from the Golden Era, cigarette/candy girls, and classic black and white movies projected onto the building facade. Other surprises await attendees as they celebrate under the night sky on this rooftop bar overlooking the bright lights of Hollywood.  
• DomainSponsor's Third Annual Autism Fundraiser at the Playboy Mansion. Benefiting Jenny McCarthy's Generation Rescue, DomainSponsor will host a Lingerie Lounge Fundraising Party at the Playboy Mansion, on Thursday, February 3 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.   The party will feature a silent auction of autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia.
