LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Foods Co Supermarkets announced today that its stores would be collecting donations to support the Northern California wildfire relief efforts.
The supermarket chain has established collection points in all of its Central and Northern California stores where customers can make cash donations. Donations will be accepted beginning this week with 100-percent of all funds collected going directly to support the Northern California wildfire relief efforts.
Customers can support the relief efforts to bring aid to victims of the wildfires by donating their spare change in specially marked collection canisters located at the checkstands in their neighborhood Foods Co store.
"Foods Co is pleased to assist with the important relief efforts for the wildfires that are devastating our communities," said Bryan Kaltenbach, president of Foods Co. "It is our hope that this fundraising effort will provide much needed assistance to the victims and families of these catastrophic wildfires."
Foods Co has a long history of contributing and raising funds to assist victims of disasters, including Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Katrina, and the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
