Food Trucks Roll into Roswell's Don White River Park Starting July 20th
ATLANTA, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Roswell area diners will have a new destination starting Saturday, July 20. That's the opening day of "Roswell River Food Truck Weekends" at Don White Park. Beginning that weekend and running through the fall, some of Atlanta's most popular food trucks will be at the scenic park on the banks of the Chattahoochee River off Riverside Road.
The Food Truck Weekends are sponsored by the Roswell Department of Parks and Recreation and are being implemented by The Food Movement, an Atlanta food truck company.
Each Saturday and Sunday throughout the rest of the summer and into the fall, there will be three food trucks at the Park from 11 a.m. until dusk. These include some of Atlanta's most popular trucks, such as Pressed For Time (Paninis), Hail Caesar (Caesar salads, wraps and sandwiches), Champion Cheesesteaks, Spiedie Zone, Masala Fresh (Indian Street Food), Vintage Frozen Custard and others.
The family-friendly Don White Park is on Riverside Road along the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Among the amenities are a beach volleyball court, dining pavilion, riverside picnic tables, kids' playground, a canoe and kayak landing, parking and restrooms. A seven-mile biking, running and walking trail cuts through the park, and is one of the best ways to follow the Chattahoochee River as it winds its way through Roswell.
"Don White Park will be the most scenic food truck venue in the entire Atlanta region," said Greg Gordon, partner at The Food Movement. "We can't wait to get there and start serving healthy and tasty 'Street Food' to everyone in the area."
