Food 4 Less Charitable Campaign to Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Food 4 Less, the nation's largest price-impact supermarket chain, is pleased to announce a fundraising campaign to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure ® Foundation and its work to defeat breast cancer. In addition, the supermarket chain's Foods Co Division is collecting donations for Komen affiliates in Central and Northern California.
Customers and Food 4 Less associates can support their local Susan G. Komen for the Cure ® Affiliate through the supermarket chain's nonprofit arm, The Food 4 Less/Foods Co Fund, by donating their spare change in collection canisters located in Food 4 Less stores in Southern California, southern Nevada and greater Chicago, and at Foods Co supermarkets in Central and Northern California. The Komen fundraising campaign will run from August 14 through November 5, 2011.
Funds raised at Food 4 Less and Foods Co stores will be used to finance breast healthcare, treatment, research and programs to improve the lives of people battling breast cancer. Food 4 Less and Foods Co will also be major sponsors of several Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure ® events in 2011.
