Fontana Partners With Trill Entertainment
Upcoming Releases include New Albums from Webbie and Lil Boosie
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fontana, Universal Music Group's award-winning independent marketing, sales and distribution company, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with prominent southern Hip Hop label Trill Entertainment. The announcement was made today by Ron Spaulding, President of Fontana, and Melvin "Big Boi" Vernell, Jr. and Marcus "Turk" Roach, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Trill Entertainment.
"I have had the pleasure of working with Melvin and Marcus for a long time," stated Mr. Spaulding. "And we are all thrilled to have them now part of the Fontana family. We're looking forward to helping them build a national powerhouse in Trill Entertainment."

Trill Entertainment, founded in Louisiana and now based in Atlanta, is a well established platform for emerging artists in the south. Currently, the artist roster includes Boosie, known as the Tupac of the South whose hits include "Zoom," "Wipe Me Down" and "Better Believe It." Trill is also home to Webbie, who burst onto the scene with his #1 ranking independent album which spawned the Top 10 hits "Bad Bitch" and "Give Me That." Other artists on Trill include Foxx, whose "Not Myself" ranked as a Top 10 single, Shell, Mouse, Lil' Trill, Lil' Phat, and Kim McCoy.
Upcoming releases include highly-anticipated albums from Webbie in November and Lil Boosie in early 2012.
Most recently, Trill expanded with the launch of Trill Films. The venture's first release was Ghetto Story, which starred Mike Epps, Hoops (Flava of Love), Bun B and Paul Wall.
