Folded Flag Foundation Awards Inaugural Round of Educational Grants to Families of Fallen Heroes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Folded Flag Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization focusing on raising and awarding money in the form of educational scholarships to surviving family members of military and government employees who have lost their lives in combat while serving our country, is pleased to announce it has awarded 12 scholarships in its inaugural scholarship award campaign, totaling more than $135,000 in educational assistance.

The Folded Flag Foundation was established earlier this year by businessman Bill Foley to help supplement what many believe to be an insufficient death benefit paid to the families of our bravest heroes. As a West Point graduate and U.S. Air Force veteran, Foley has a deep appreciation of and shares a camaraderie with the men and women of the U.S. armed forces.

Because Black Knight Financial Services, LLC and ServiceLink, LLC fund all administrative, operational and marketing costs for the organization, 100 percent of all donations made to the Folded Flag Foundation will benefit families in need.
