FMCS Statement on Reynoldsburg Schools Negotiations
REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio, Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) issued the following statement today on the labor negotiations between the Reynoldsburg City School District Board of Education and the Reynoldsburg Education Association:
"An FMCS mediator has met with representatives of the parties on a number of occasions and has offered suggestions to them on approaches they may wish to consider in order to move toward a settlement. The FMCS is prepared to provide further assistance and will remain in contact with the parties should they request further mediation services from the FMCS. However, the parties are free to meet without the presence of the mediator if they wish. At this time, no further meetings have been scheduled with the FMCS mediator."
Because of the sensitivity of the ongoing discussions, FMCS will have no further comment at this time.
