Fluke Networks' WLAN Planning Technology to Power New Tool From D-Link

EVERETT, Wash., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fluke Networks today announced that D-Link® Corporation has chosen its wireless planning technology to power its new Wi-Fi planning solution, the D-Link Wi-Fi Planner, Powered By AirMagnet®. IT managers and engineers deploying D-Link-based wireless infrastructure will now be able to leverage the industry's leading wireless LAN (WLAN) planning software, specifically optimized for their wireless environment.

D-Link Wi-Fi Planner, powered by AirMagnet, is a wireless network planning tool that allows a user to model the Wi-Fi network and provide a reliable predictive map of Wi-Fi signal and performance by accounting for building material and environment conditions. As the No. 1 solution in the market today, AirMagnet offers predictive modeling to determine the ideal quantity, placement and configuration of Access Points (APs) for optimal security, performance and compliance. D-Link Wi-Fi Planner also includes built-in automated tools to help users with their migration strategy from existing legacy 802.11a/b/g networks to 802.11n technology.
