TALLAHASSEE, Fla., July 20, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Florida Realtors® PAC (Political Advocacy Committee) made its candidate endorsements for the 2016 election cycle.
There are more than 400 candidates that have qualified to run for the 160 seats in the Florida House of Representatives and Florida Senate. The Florida Realtors PAC has announced an initial list of supported candidates in these races.
"We need a Legislature that focuses on making Florida a fair regulatory and low tax state that helps create and maintain a vibrant state economy and strong real estate market," said Bill Furst, chair of the Florida Realtors PAC Trustees. "The goal of the Realtors PAC is to support candidates who promote policies that encourage homeownership and preserve the quality of life for our state."
Candidates were evaluated on numerous factors, including their voting record on issues that are relevant to the real estate profession.
"Florida Realtors PAC has a long-standing reputation of supporting those legislators and candidates who advocate for private property rights, address real property issues and promote policies that ensure strong economic growth," said Carrie O'Rourke, vice president of public policy for Florida Realtors®. "It's these lawmakers who help to ensure Florida continues to grow and prosper now and for future generations."
