ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Realtors®, the state's largest professional association, recently installed its 2011 officers:
- President Patricia S. Fitzgerald, manager/broker-associate with Illustrated Properties in Hobe Sound and Mariner Sands Country Club in Stuart.
- President-Elect Summer Greene, regional manager with Prudential Florida 1st Realty in Fort Lauderdale.
- Vice President Dean Asher, broker/owner with Don Asher & Associates Inc. in Orlando.
- Treasurer Sherri L. Meadows, broker-owner, Meadows Realty Inc. in Ocala.
- Secretary Bill Furst, Sarasota County property appraiser and a veteran Realtor® of more than 35 years.
The association also installed 13 new district vice presidents, who represent different areas of the state.
The new state association leaders say that they will work to make sure the Realtors' voice is heard in 2011 regarding legislative, regulatory, international, growth management, property rights and other issues of interest to Realtors across the state who are working in a changing and challenging marketplace.
2011 Florida Realtors President Pat Fitzgerald wants to enhance the state association's delivery of education and services to members, while advancing its public policy agenda. She adds that Realtors must continue to be leaders in their Florida communities. "In 2011, we will focus on housing-related issues, such as increasing the availability of financing for buyers, so that more Floridians will be able to achieve their dream of homeownership," she says.
