Under writing excellence, Florida Realtor won a Charlie Award, the competition's top honor or gold standard, for Best Department (Makeover) in its Trade/Technical category. The magazine also received a Bronze Award or third place for Best Department (Market It).
Judges also recognized the magazine for design excellence. Florida Realtor won a Silver Award or second place for Best Cover (October 2012 issue) and a Bronze Award for Best Department Design (Tech and You).

The Florida Magazine Association represents the state's publishing industry with more than 200 association, trade/technical and consumer magazines. Nearly 700 entries were submitted for this year's Charlie Awards contest from publications produced in Florida. Awards were presented during FMA's 2013 Publishing Conference & Expo, Aug. 1-2, at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
