Florida Governor Rick Scott Visits Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc.'s New York Headquarters to Promote Further Job Creating Partnership in Florida
NEW YORK, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) hosted Florida Governor Rick Scott on Tuesday, July 16 at the company's headquarters office in New York. Governor Scott met with Mr. Yoshiyuki Ishii (MHIA President and CEO) and Transportation Systems executives to commend Mitsubishi on its job-creating investments in the State of Florida, especially in the critical manufacturing and technology sectors. He emphasized Florida's business-friendly environment and encouraged continued partnership and expansion from MHIA and its related companies. MHIA discussed with the Governor opportunities to further increase partnerships with local colleges and technical schools to train students for high paying, high technology jobs and also expressed its strong support for the Governor's efforts to establish a direct commercial air route between Florida and Japan.
