ORLANDO, Fla., June 15, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Florida Blue, in partnership with New Directions Behavioral Health, is offering support to individuals and loved ones affected by recent tragic events in Orlando. The company is providing the community access to specially trained behavioral health counselors via a 24-hour, toll-free help line: 800-843-6514.
The grief counselor support is free of charge to anyone in the Orlando area, and is available to both English and Spanish-speaking individuals. The help line is available to affected individuals whether or not they are Florida Blue members.
Grief counselors also will be available in person at the Florida Blue Retail Centers, located at 434 N. Orlando Ave. in Winter Park, and 385 Cypress Gardens Blvd. in Winter Haven. Counselors will be onsite during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
To further support the city of Orlando, Florida Blue is donating $100,000 to the OneOrlando Fund, which has been established to provide financial support to organizations involved in the recovery efforts for the community and individuals impacted by the shooting.
