ORLANDO, Fla., June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Autism Center (FAC) is proud to announce the opening of a new educational center in southwest Orlando, serving Lake Buena Vista, Dr. Phillips, Windermere, and Kissimmee. The center is located at 1176 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd. in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando and is the organization's sixth location.
"We are excited and honored to offer our high quality clinical care to the southwest Orlando autism community and continue to make progress towards expanding our services throughout Florida and the broader Southeastern United States," said Chrystin Bullock, founder of Florida Autism Center. "Our mission is to enable each child in our care to reach his or her personal potential and we look forward to having the opportunity to collaborate with the community and families to advance this commitment."
Florida Autism Center provides center-based treatment based on the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, and has a specific focus on early intensive behavioral intervention, verbal behavior (language) training, and social skills training. In addition, FAC offers an alternative school program to children on the autism spectrum funded in part through the McKay Scholarship.
To celebrate the opening of the new center, FAC will host an open house and ribbon cutting celebration on Thursday, June 9th from 8am to 10am. During this time, anyone from the community will have the opportunity to explore the centers classrooms, meet with our clinical professionals and staff, and enjoy a short presentation about our early intensive behavioral intervention program. Breakfast and a chance drawing for a $200 gift certificate to Norman's Orlando at the Ritz Carlton available.
Florida Autism Center currently has locations in Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Lake Mary, Gainesville, and Tallahassee and coming soon to St. Augustine, Apopka, and Lake Nona.
