The V200 volumetric water meter is one of the most popular and well-established meters in Europe. The V200 is available in a range of sizes from 15mm to 40mm, covers a wide range of flow rates and can be mounted in virtually any position.
It offers long-life and high accuracy over a wide operating range, and has an inductive interface - a prerequisite for AMR. The product has been approved to the latest European Directive 2004/22/EC and international ISO 4064 standards.
"We have been working with Elster for nearly 40 years, having decided to change from the V100 volumetric meter to the V200 volumetric meter as we plan for AMR deployment. The V200 is the appropriate water meter to help us achieve our long-term water management objectives," said Luc Keustermans, technical director for VMW.
The Flemish water supply company is a full-service water company operating over a million water meters and managing a total of 138 million cubic metres of water a year. It provides services throughout the entire water supply chain to serve approximately 2.6 million customers in 170 Flemish municipalities, making them the largest supplier of drinking water in Flanders.
"Our latest generation innovative V200 volumetric water meter with inductive interface has been specifically developed to support European utilities with their future AMR deployment plans," commented Bruno Guichard, managing director of Elster's water metering business in Belgium.
