FleishmanHillard Appoints Beth Boswell Managing Director, Southeast Asia
Agency Also Promotes Cosette Romero and Louisa Tuhatu to Partner
HONG KONG, July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- FleishmanHillard signaled its increased focus on Southeast Asia today with the promotion of agency veteran Beth Boswell to the position of managing director, Southeast Asia. Boswell is tasked with continuing the region's impressive growth streak and further expanding the network into new areas. Before this move, she was responsible for the firm's Asia Pacific strategic growth planning.
The agency also announced the promotion to partner for two senior leaders in Southeast Asia: Cosette Romero, senior vice president and general manager of the Manila office, and Louisa Tuhatu, senior vice president and general manager of FleishmanHillard's Jakarta operation.

Boswell will work closely with Tuhatu, Romero and the other general managers to foster further collaboration across FleishmanHillard's expanding Southeast Asia network, and to assist each market with their strategic direction.
Boswell joined FleishmanHillard 18 years ago and has spent a total of 12 years working in Asia Pacific. She has lived and worked in more than seven markets across the region, including Singapore, Indonesia, China and India. Boswell is a well-rounded communications specialist, having counseled clients in the technology, healthcare, consumer and manufacturing sectors. She is also an active member of the agency's Majlis group, a new specialty service created to assist corporations looking to build and protect their reputation with the Muslim community. Boswell has managed major network client relationships and facilitated global business in the region.
With 25 years of Philippines communications experience, Romero brings unparalleled in-market expertise and counsel to clients. She was responsible for driving growth of FleishmanHillard's Manila office, which now boasts a strong client list spanning the technology, aviation, consumer products and general corporate sectors. In addition to her agency work, she is extremely supportive of the communications industry. Romero was president of the International Association of Business Communicators (Philippines) for two years and remains actively involved.
Tuhatu started with FleishmanHillard three years ago and is the founding general manager of FleishmanHillard's Indonesia operation. Since that time, the Jakarta office has expanded its roster with a fast-growing list of clients from the technology, telecommunications, automotive, mining and consumer products sectors. She is seen by the firm to have one of the most successful startups in the network's history. Tuhatu has a rich mix of past work experience as a journalist in Indonesia and in Russia, a healthcare product manager, and an NGO communications director, as well as a number of senior communications agency positions. She is also an active women's issues community volunteer in Jakarta.
