NEW ORLEANS, July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Flag for Hope initiative is pleased to announce they will be arriving in New Orleans, as the next location on their historic national tour. Flag for Hope invites participants from all walks of life to embrace and solidify their place in the historical record by contributing their handprints to collaborative 'panels of impression,' and be preserved as an historic account of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to come together with friends and family to share in this unique community-building experience. By taking part in this project participants will create an indelible physical and digital record of a unified global community that will be displayed for future generations to access their personal and shared histories.
Among the landmarks they plan to visit, Flag for Hope will be setting up in City Park, Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter and Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. The movement is based on building community at every opportunity and there will be many spontaneous appearances along the way. Flag for Hope Facebook and Twitter feeds will be updated to reflect additional locations, and all are encouraged to follow for updates as they travel the nation.
