RALEIGH, N.C., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Flag for Hope initiative is pleased to announce both North and South Carolina as the next locations on their historic national tour. Flag for Hope invites participants from all walks of life to embrace and solidify their place in the historical record by contributing their handprints to collaborative 'panels of impression,' and be preserved as an historic account of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to come together with friends and family to share in this unique community-building experience. By taking part in this project participants will create an indelible physical and digital record of a unified global community that will be displayed for future generations to access their personal and shared histories.
The team will arrive in Raleigh, NC, midday on Friday, July 24, and will begin collecting impressions Saturday at the Charleston YMCA. Sunday will mark the Flag's arrival in South Carolina, with stops at Falls Park in Greenville, and continuing through Columbia and Charleston.
The itinerary, as always, is subject to change. The Flag goes wherever there are people willing to come together in fellowship, and we encourage all in the area to keep their eyes peeled for the Flag for Hope, and for Marcos' signature bowler hat! Flag for Hope Facebook and Twitter feeds will be updated to reflect additional locations, and all are invited to follow for updates as they travel the nation.
