Five Lucky Horseshoe Casino Customers Share $1.5 Million in Prize Money

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- To celebrate the Horseshoe Casino brand turning 60 years old, Horseshoe Casinos in Bossier City, Louisiana; Tunica, Mississippi; Hammond, Indiana; Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Elizabeth, Indiana gave away $1.5 million to five Horseshoe customers in the Million Dollar Summer Giveaway on July 30.

The Horseshoe Bossier finalist and grand prize winner, David P. from Natchitoches, Louisiana, won $900,000. "I'm thrilled," he said. "This was an experience of a lifetime. A special thanks to the nice lady holding suitcase No. 1, which everyone left as the lone choice for me. Wow!"

Horseshoe Tunica finalist, Diana J. from Trenton, Tennessee; Horseshoe Council Bluffs finalist, Tom D. from Bellevue, Nebraska; Horseshoe Southern Indiana finalist, Jae J. from Elizabethtown, Kentucky; as well as an anonymous winner from Horseshoe Hammond each won $150,000. The winners requested their last names not be disclosed.

The finale drawing in the summer-long promotion was held at Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Mississippi and was broadcast live to participating Horseshoe casinos.
