Five Leading Taiwanese Companies Presented their Innovations on Monday, 16 September at EMO 2013
HANNOVER, Germany, September 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
With 162 manufacturers, Taiwan is the third-largest exhibiting country at the world's biggest and most important platform for innovations in metalworking.
According to British business analysts at Oxford Economics, worldwide sales of machine tools are expected to grow two percent this year, bringing sales up to approximately €68 billion, the highest level ever recorded in this sector.
Statistics compiled by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) indicate a total value of Taiwan machinery exports for 2012 of over US$ 20.7 billion, YoY growth of 1.9%. Taiwan's machine tool industry currently has the highest production of all categories in the machinery industry.

Development Council (TAITRA), emphasized that industry standards in Taiwan today are equal to those in Europe, but that products can be offered at lower cost.
Agnes Hwa-Yue Chen, Representative, Taipei Representative Office in Germany, stressed the importance of Germany, Taiwan's largest trading partner in Europe and the fifth biggest trading partner in Asia. German investments in Taiwan already soared 300 percent from January to July 2013, compared with 2012, she said.
