The Peanutty Road to the Finals
Parent and kid chef teams across America entered original peanut butter sandwich recipes from August through November 2010. Each recipe underwent an initial round of judging to determine 10 semi-finalists, who participated in an online vote between January 10 and February 3. The top five finalists were selected based on a combination of online votes and the scores from the preliminary judging round.
The Final Event
The judging event on March 18, 2011, offers the five finalists the opportunity to showcase their sandwiches to a panel of judges. Each child will demonstrate how to prepare his/her sandwich and the judging panel will rate each based on creativity, nutritional balance, taste, appearance and ease of preparation.
Jif Moms Voice Their Choice Contest™
The makers of Jif Peanut Butter also announce Bridget S. from Murrells Inlet, SC as the winner of the Jif Moms Voice Their Choice Contest. Between August and November 2010, moms across the country entered stories about how they make the best choices for their families on www.jif.com.
