Five Audi Vehicles Win Vincentric's Best Value in America Awards for 2011
HERNDON, Va., March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Audi announced today that five vehicles have been selected as winners for Vincentric's 7th annual Best Value in America awards for the 2011 model year. Audi performed strongly in the premium segment, winning awards for the best mid-size coupe, premium wagon and premium large vehicle. No other luxury manufacturer had more winning vehicles.
The Audi winners for the 2011 Vincentric's Best Value in America awards are:
- Audi A5 & S5 – Mid-Size Coupe
- Audi A6 Avant – Wagon, Premium
- Audi A6 & S6 – Large, Premium
This is the second year in a row the A5 and A6 Avant have been honored as Vincentric's Best Value in America, and the third time the A6 has received the honor. Key factors that were instrumental in Vincentric's selection of these winning Audi vehicles included: both A5 and S5 had the lowest depreciation rate in their class; both A6 and S6 had the lowest fuel costs in its class; and the A6 Avant had the best cost of ownership in its segment.
Vincentric's 2011 Best Value in America awards use cost-of-ownership to provide an independent benchmark that helps consumers understand which vehicles provide the best value in their segment. Vincentric measures cost-of-ownership using eight different cost factors: depreciation, fuel, insurance, opportunity cost, financing, maintenance, taxes and state fees, and repairs. Using a statistical model, the company identified its Best Value in America winners by measuring which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus DC using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles.
