Fitcode Introduces Jeanius, A Browser Extension, To Help Women Shop Smarter Online
The first of its kind - Fitcode Jeanius - provides jeans recommendations and product information
SEATTLE, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fitcode, a technology company focused on changing online shopping through its denim expertise, today announced the launch of Fitcode Jeanius. A free and innovative browser extension, Fitcode Jeanius is pioneering a way for women to find jeans based on fit not size.
Beyond its consumer advantages, Fitcode Jeanius also benefits retailers and brands as it enables customers to find their perfect pair more quickly and accurately.
Part denim stylist and part online shopping companion, Fitcode Jeanius helps consumers shop supported sites like Nordstrom, Paige, 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, J Brand, JOE's Jeans, Kut from the Kloth, and NYDJ. Compatible with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, once the browser extension is installed, shoppers will see Fitcode's icon overlay on recommended jeans.
Fitcode Jeanius is the first-ever platform to assimilate into a retailer's site that protects the brand's integrity and keeps shoppers on the brand's site, while annotating personalized recommendations for shoppers.
"With no standardized measurements across brands, online shopping is a guessing game for women," said Rian Buckley, CEO and a founder of Fitcode. "Fitcode seeks to empower women to shop online with confidence for jeans that fit and flatter diverse body types."
To begin, a woman takes a quiz on Fitcode's website that matches her with one of nine Fitcodes based her body shape. Once her Fitcode is identified, she can browse a curated selection in the Denim Boutique on Fitcode's website or via Fitcode Jeanius. Each pair is hand measured from different specifications and researched for stretch and fabric content.
"By women and for women, Fitcode recognizes when a customer buys jeans, she has to look good and feel good or they are returned," said Loretta Soffe, advisor to Fitcode and former EVP of Women's at Nordstrom. "Progressive and innovative brands and retailers will see the value of Fitcode Jeanius as a way to increase customer satisfaction and decrease costly returns."
