Fisher College to Offer New MBA Program
Focus on leadership
BOSTON, Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fisher College is thrilled to announce its first-ever graduate degree program.
At the start of the New Year, January 5, 2015, the inaugural class will begin their work towards a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership.
"This advanced degree program will epitomize what Fisher College is fundamentally committed to: cultivating leaders. And that's why our first MBA program will focus on developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities for leading business organizations in any industry or sector," said Fisher College President Thomas M. McGovern.
The program combines traditional in-classroom learning methods at Fisher College's main Boston campus with the latest online learning technology to create a convenient and relevant educational experience.
With 47 credits required for successful graduation, along with the ability to waive some preliminary courses (depending on a student's undergraduate degree program), it will be possible for a student to earn an MBA in under two years.
Courses will be instructed by expert teachers with business backgrounds who "will provide students in the program ample opportunities to connect business, finance, and economic theory with best business practices and current applications relevant to the student's chosen career path," said Fisher College MBA program director Dr. Tony Baker.
Applications for the inaugural enrollment are being accepted through December 20, 2014.
"Sometimes big things do come in small packages," Fisher College President Thomas M. McGovern added. "Just like our undergraduate degree programs, our new advanced degree program will feature Fisher College's distinctive hallmark: small class sizes – big ideas; small price – big pay-off."
