Fish & Richardson Principal Wasif Qureshi of Houston Named to Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows Program

HOUSTON, Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Fish & Richardson is pleased to announce that firm attorney Wasif Qureshi of Houston has been selected as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows program for 2014.

Created in 2011, the LCLD Fellows program is a highly structured mentoring program designed to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation's law firms and corporate legal departments. The program is committed to fostering diversity within individual institutions as well as the legal profession at large.

Mr. Qureshi, an intellectual property litigation principal at Fish, is the third principal from the firm to participate in the LCLD Fellows program. Boston patent attorney Todd Garcia (2013 class), and IP litigator Tara Elliott of the firm's Delaware office (2012 class) precede him.

Mr. Qureshi is a member of the Fish Diversity Committee and the firm's Diversity Fellowship Program selection committee. He earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2004 after securing his B.S., with honors, in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Houston.
