Fish & Richardson Attorneys Receive International Legal Award for Practice Excellence from Corporate INTL Magazine

BOSTON, May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fish & Richardson announced today that attorneys Peter Fasse and Charles Hieken have received international legal awards for practice and service excellence for 2013 from Corporate INTL magazine.

Peter Fasse, a Principal in the firm's Boston office, was named the Client Choice winner of the 2013 Legal Award for Patents Law – Law Firm of the Year in Massachusetts.  His practice emphasizes patent prosecution and client counseling in a wide variety of technologies, with an emphasis on biotechnology and other biological and medical fields as well as various "green" technologies.  He received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1987, and two B.S. degrees in bioelectrical engineering and life sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1983.

Charles Hieken, also a Principal in the firm's Boston office, was named Intellectual Property Litigation Lawyer of the Year in Massachusetts.  His practice emphasizes all aspects of patents, trademarks, copyrights, proprietary information, related unfair competition, and antitrust law.  He received his L.L.B. from Harvard Law School in 1957, and both his S.M. and S.B., Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1952.
