Fish's 2013 Diversity Fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in the 1L Scholars Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, a national organization formed in 2009 to advance diversity in the legal profession.
"Diversity is integral to who we are as a firm. It's important to the clients we serve and the communities we live and work in, and is critical to our ongoing initiative to advance diversity in the legal profession. Our 1L Diversity Fellowship Program has been very successful and continues to help us recruit some of the top law students in the country and provide them with professional growth opportunities at an early stage in their legal careers," said Ahmed Davis, a Fish principal and National Chair of the firm's Diversity Initiative.
Three Fish 2012 1L Diversity Fellows – Andrew Huah (University of California, Davis School of Law), Karan Jhurani (Emory University School of Law) and Lealon Martin (University of Texas School of Law) – will also be returning for a second summer.
