Fish & Richardson Adds Robert M. O'Connell, Jr. as Of Counsel in Trademark and Copyright Group

BOSTON, March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fish & Richardson today announced that Robert M. O'Connell, Jr., previously Senior Counsel at Goodwin Procter, has joined the firm's Boston office as Of Counsel in its Trademark and Copyright Group, where he will continue to focus his practice on copyright, trademark, licensing, and brand management matters.  O'Connell is the third lateral hire for Fish's Trademark and Copyright Group this year.

With over 20 years of experience, O'Connell has represented clients on all aspects of domestic and international trademark law; registration and protection of copyrights; proper trademark and copyright usage and protection on the Internet; clearance and selection of pharmaceutical names; and a variety of licensing and technology transfer agreements, website development and co-branding agreements.  He also has extensive commercial litigation and dispute resolution experience in state and federal courts and before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board.
