Fish & Richardson Adds Daniel Lasman as Chief Financial Officer
BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fish & Richardson announced today that Daniel Lasman has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will have responsibility for Fish's accounting and financial operations globally, and will be located in the firm's Boston office.
Lasman will replace Alison Boos, who served as Fish's CFO for 24 years and was integral to helping build the firm's market leadership position in IP and litigation.
Lasman has had a successful, 35-year career in finance. Prior to joining Fish, he was the CFO of Monitor Company Group LP in Cambridge, Massachusetts and was a member of the team that led Monitor's sale to Deloitte in January 2013. Lasman earned his undergraduate degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, where he was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. While at Chicago, Dan earned his Certified Public Accounting certificate. Following business school, he was with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York and London, after which he served as CFO for several private and public companies.
"Choosing Alison Boos' successor was a difficult task and we were fortunate to have found a person with Dan's background and experience. We are pleased to welcome Dan to our management team," said Peter Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson.
"Fish & Richardson has a stellar brand and a history of solid financial performance," said Lasman. "The firm has taken an innovative approach to delivering value to its clients using value- and performance-based fees. I am excited to be working with a firm that embraces change and look forward to contributing to Fish's continued success at a time when the legal industry is changing."
