AKRON, Ohio, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstMerit (Nasdaq: FMER) announced today the naming of the Clifford J. Isroff Building at III Cascade Plaza. Named for the late lead director of FirstMerit's board of directors who passed away in June 2015, the building was dedicated with a ceremony led by Paul Greig, FirstMerit chairman, president and CEO and attended by members of Isroff's family today.

Prior to his death, Mr. Isroff was actively involved with a number of significant non-profit organizations in the Northeast Ohio area. Formerly, he was the Chairman and Secretary of I Corp, an Akron, Ohio-based manufacturing holding company, as well as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Jewelers in Akron, which was acquired by Signet Group PLC.
