FirstMerit Bank Rebrands Citizens Bank Branches Across Michigan and Wisconsin

AKRON, Ohio, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, June 13, 2013, FirstMerit Bank (Nasdaq: FMER) will formally introduce its brand by unveiling new signs on former Citizens Bank branches across Michigan and Wisconsin. Changing the signs is the latest and most visible step in the process of integrating the two banks.

In April 2013, FirstMerit Corporation legally consummated its acquisition of Citizens Republic Bancorp. The acquisition was announced in September 2012. Rebranding the branches is the latest step in the seamless integration process to full systems conversion in the fall.
