Firsthand Releases Alumni Networking & Mentoring Platform
The biggest update yet to the world's leading alumni mentoring platform
NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Firsthand is deepening its commitment to building stronger and more successful communities by releasing the biggest update to its alumni mentoring platform yet.
The update extends Firsthand's platform beyond student mentoring and into alumni networking by allowing university, high school, and other alumni to share jobs, opportunities, events, and more.
"Mentoring remains our core focus, but the essence of mentoring is creating opportunity. By expanding how students and alumni share opportunities, we're doubling down on our mission to democratize careers. And by adding more powerful admin tools, we're helping admins manage bigger communities with confidence," says Fredrik Marø, Firsthand's founder.
Alumni can now offer advice in four categories: Admissions, Academics, Career, and Business & Startups, in addition to posting jobs and making themselves available for opportunities like job shadowing, volunteering, and sitting on boards. Admins also get a new set of controls, analytics, and reports with which to manage the interactions on their platforms.
