FirstEnergy Names Ronald Seeholzer Vice President, Financial Planning for FirstEnergy Solutions and Irene Prezelj Vice President, Investor Relations
AKRON, Ohio, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE) today announced that Ronald E. Seeholzer, formerly vice president, Investor Relations, will become vice president, Financial Planning, for FirstEnergy Solutions, the company's competitive subsidiary. Succeeding Seeholzer as vice president of Investor Relations will be Irene M. Prezelj, formerly executive director of the department.
Seeholzer and Prezelj will continue reporting to James F. Pearson, vice president and Treasurer. The changes are effective November 1, 2011.

Seeholzer previously served as assistant controller for FirstEnergy and director, Investor Relations for Centerior Energy, one of FirstEnergy's predecessor companies. Prior to joining FirstEnergy, he served as senior director, Business Support & Finance, at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). Before joining EEI, he was director of Investor Relations for USEC Inc.
Seeholzer earned a bachelor degree in business administration and accounting from Ohio University. He also holds a master's degree in business administration and an MBA in accounting and financial information from Cleveland State University. He is a certified public accountant and holds professional certifications as an internal auditor and management accountant.
Prezelj joined the company in 1984 and held a number of public affairs, communications and marketing positions. She was manager of Market Intelligence for FirstEnergy Solutions prior to moving to Investor Relations in 2008, where she served as manager and director. She was promoted to executive director Investor Relations in February 2011.
Prezelj earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Cleveland State University and a master of business administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College.
