First Site Expedition to Isla Palenque Development June 2-5, 2010 Features 'Meet the Designers' On-Island Event
Visitors will view the future development site and learn specifics about its ecologically sensitive design
CHICAGO, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The first chance for potential homeowners to explore the future site of The Resort at Isla Palenque is just weeks away. The four-day expedition is set for Wednesday, June 2 through Saturday, June 5, 2010. Hosted by developer Amble Resorts, this is the inaugural trip for the public and will provide an opportunity not only to view the island, but also to meet the designers and developers behind this future luxury eco resort community. Guests can learn about the three types of island homes for sale in between dining, sightseeing and adventure activities in both Panama City and the Chiriqui Province.
Eco resort developer Benjamin Loomis, President of Amble Resorts, believes in listening to both the land and to its future inhabitants. "We're thinking well beyond creating a typical resort community to a place where practices are ecologically sound, minimal impact is made, and travelers and residents are able to connect with nature on a level they may have only imagined without sacrificing comfort and services," says Loomis.
With model home construction beginning right now, this trip is a chance for potential homebuyers to see the site before sales have officially begun, giving them an early opportunity that comes with special privileges. "The first 12 buyers will get pricing and benefits that no buyer after them will receive," says Loomis. The development's phase-one hotel and homes are scheduled to be completed in late 2012.
While future site expeditions to the island are planned, this is the only one that coincides with the design charrette, scheduled for June 3. An intense period of design activity, the charrette will make guests privy to architectural and logistical details. "This is a unique opportunity for homebuyers to gain an understanding of how we are integrating the resort with the ecological and cultural context of the site," says Richard Shaw, FASLA, a Principal and Partner at Design Workshop.
Charrette participants include:
- Ben Loomis, President, Amble Resorts
- Randal Johnson, Principal, 4240 Architecture
- Richard Shaw, Principal, Design Workshop
- Scott Rohm, VP of Operations, West Paces Hotel Group
- Mark Linch, VP of Technical Services, West Paces Hotel Group
- Other members of Amble Resorts' development team
The public is invited to attend on a Fly and Buy basis, in which the cost of the site expedition is fully refundable upon purchase of an Isla Palenque home. The cost of the trip is $1,800 USD per couple, not including airfare to and from Panama City.
Amble Resorts will oversee the trip from arrival into Panama City's Tocumen International Airport to departure gate, with a full itinerary of adventures ranging from cultural to culinary. Future homeowners will explore the island, hike through the jungle to future home sites, explore forests and beaches and lunch on the beach. For further details, view the full site expedition itinerary on the resort's website.
It is an ideal time to view this Panama real estate opportunity, and the only chance to discuss design firsthand with the creators. Visitors can contact Amble Resorts now to secure a spot on this expedition to Isla Palenque: 773-769-1145 x203 or [email protected].
