First Presenters at World-Renowned Pittsburgh Wine Festival Announced
PITTSBURGH, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The eighth annual Pittsburgh Wine Festival, to be held in the Club Lounges at Heinz Field, gives people the opportunity to sample some of the world's very best wines, and provides a chance to meet and talk with some of the world's foremost authorities on wine.
This year, these authorities include Marnie Old, an internationally renowned sommelier, wine educator and author. Ms. Old is a member of the PLCB's Wine Advisory Council, and will be doing the tasting at the PLCB's Chairmen's Selection™ Table. Also on hand will be Robin Lail of Lail Vineyards, an award-winning Napa Valley winery. Robin is the latest in her family's 130 years of involvement in the wine industry.
Danielle Cyrot will also be featured. Ms. Cyrot, the descendant of a long line of French vintners, is the winemaker at the St. Clement Winery, voted Best Boutique Winery two years in a row by Napa and Sonoma Valleys magazine.
Another special guest will be Ken Freeman of Freeman Wines, a distinguished winery in California's Russian River Valley. A skilled businessman, world traveler and vintner, Ken Freeman founded and operates the winery with his wife Akiko.
