First Pennsylvania State Vehicle Auction of 2014 Slated for Feb. 25
More than 400 units available featuring ATVs, Snowmobiles, SUVs and more
HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The state department of General Services today announced that the first vehicle auction of 2014 will take place at Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville, Dauphin County on Tuesday, Feb 25 at 10 a.m.
"As always, we have a wide selection of vehicles to meet many different needs and budgets as well as some of the more fun vehicles like snowmobiles and ATVs," said General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips.
SUVs and other types of vehicles used by state agencies from manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Jeep and GMC will be available for bid as well as vehicles seized by state law enforcement agencies from manufacturers such as Acura, Cadillac and Mercedes Benz.
A preview for the public to inspect the vehicles will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 through Monday, Feb. 24, at Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and closes at noon. Buyers may purchase with cash or certified funds in the form of money orders, cashier's checks, certified checks or bank checks – all made payable to "Manheim Central Penn Auto Auction."
This is the first of six vehicle auctions slated for 2014. All revenue generated from the action is returned to the commonwealth.
