First Michigan Bancorp, Inc. Names Gary Cortner as President - Port Huron Region

TROY, Mich., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- First Michigan Bank announced today that Gary J. Cortner has been named President – Port Huron Region, effective immediately.

Mr. Cortner was Executive Managing Director and the Director of Commercial Lending for First Michigan Bank. He was responsible for managing all commercial loan officers and commercial lending groups.

Previously, Mr. Cortner served as President and Managing Director for The PrivateBank – Grosse Pointe and Senior Vice President in the Commercial Banking Department at Standard Federal Bank in Troy.  Prior to his career at Standard Federal, Mr. Cortner spent 25 years at Manufacturers National Bank, now Comerica, in various capacities.  

He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and is a graduate of the University of Michigan's Graduate School of Banking.
