EASTON, Pa., Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) announced at its Delegate Assembly an exciting new partnership with First in Math® that will allow the association to award 100,000 one-year First in Math licenses to school districts through the commonwealth.
First in Math is a dynamic, self-paced online program that helps students in grades K-8 master basic through advanced math skills through the use of engaging, exciting game-based activities. Developed and distributed by Suntex International, First in Math (www.firstinmath.com) uses deep practice techniques and instant feedback to supplement the classroom curriculum and motivate students to practice math in the same way they practice sports, music or other activities they enjoy.
"We are extremely excited that First in Math has generously supplied 100,000 one-year licenses to districts throughout Pennsylvania," said PSBA Director of Business Partner Development Laura Huggins. "This is a great opportunity for students in member school entities to benefit from a proven tool to improve math skills."
PSBA has been granted the one-year licenses and will be working with districts to place these in districts throughout the state at no expense to the school entities. To date more than 15 school districts have taken advantage of this grant with about 40,000 licenses already committed.
