MONTREAL, June 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, June 21st, International Yoga Day, activewear brand Lolë successfully launched its first-ever Lolë White Tour On The Road, a series of community-powered local yoga sessions organized in cities across the globe. Sixty events in major international cities, including New York, Montreal, Toronto, Santa Barbara and Grenoble, attracted over 5,000 yogis, each of whom wore white as a symbol of peace.
Building on the Lolë White Tour success of previous years, like the one held in Central Park, in 2016 Lolë decided to join forces with its regional partners to bring the experience to all yoga lovers with the Lolë White Tour On The Road series. Each of the gatherings was hosted by local ambassadors and set to the rhythms of live music.
In the US, events were also held in cities including Chicago, Santa Barbara and Grand Rapids, in addition to New York, where it was staged at Elevated Acre on Water Street in Lower Manhattan, a venue that serves as a hidden oasis in the city, with grassy spaces and expansive views of the East River. The hour-long session, in which over 150 people participated, included a short meditation followed by a yoga practice led by instructor and ambassador Amanda Winkler.
