First ChatOps Book Details Approach and Best Practices for DevOps Communication and Collaboration
Author and DevOps Evangelist, Jason Hand, Makes First Copies of ChatOps For Dummies Available at DevOpsDays Rockies This Week
BOULDER, Colo., April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ChatOps, an emerging practice within the DevOps movement, brings a new approach to communication that allows IT teams to collaborate and manage not only aspects of their infrastructure and code, but a wide variety of functions within an organization, all from the comfort and safety of a chat client. The launch of the first book on ChatOps, written by Jason Hand, DevOps Evangelist at VictorOps, will help the industry better understand the benefits of the approach, as well as how ChatOps tools and methods can help in the incident lifecycle.
An avid supporter of technologies and innovations that help IT teams solve problems faster, VictorOps is making the first copies of the book ChatOps for Dummies available online and to attendees of DevOpsDays Rockies, a DevOps conference held April 23rd and 24th in Denver.
"To date, there aren't a lot of resources for ChatOps available in print," said author Jason Hand. "My intention in writing this book is to encourage dialogue so that ChatOps and the benefits of adopting these practices will continue to gain traction across a broader swath of organizations and industries. It's my hope that more authors will approach and promote discussion of ChatOps so that it may continue to grow and expand."
ChatOps For Dummies is part of the For Dummies® series published by the Wiley brand. With more than 250 million books in print and more than 1,800 titles, For Dummies is the most widely recognized and highly regarded reference series in the world.
