First Central & Southern California Cleantech Innovators' Summit April 17, 2010 -- $250,000 Prize
LOS ANGELES, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Green2Gold and the Cleantech Open have partnered to host the first Cleantech Innovators' Summit on April 17, 2010 at the Los Angeles Central Library in the Mark Taper Auditorium from 1-5pm. The summit features a panel discussion on "Developing the Southern California Cleantech Ecosystem," moderated by Los Angeles City Controller Wendy Greuel. Notable panelists include Bill Barber, chapter president of Maverick Angels; Alex Fay, Los Angeles Mayor's Office of Economic & Business Policy; Alan Tratner, Founder of Green2Gold, and Gillian Christie, Founder of Christie Communications. In commemoration of Earth Day, the event offers dynamic networking opportunities for inventors, investors, and professionals, beginning with a welcome address by Green2Gold founder Alan Tratner, who helped found the original Earth Day in 1970. A Cleantech Expo will occur throughout the day with exhibits featuring organizations dedicated to fostering clean technology innovation. A special mixer will be held from 3:30PM to 5PM with natural refreshments sponsored by Steaz (www.steaz.com).
The summit will provide local Cleantech entrepreneurs an overview of the 2010 Cleantech Open, which aims to stimulate and support products and technologies that deliver clean energy and environmental solutions. The competition offers over $1 million in prizes and saw more than 250 entries across three regions in 2009.
