MORRISTOWN, Tenn., July 28, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- First Bank & Trust Company, a diversified financial services firm, today announced that David E. Slack has been appointed as Senior Vice President and City Executive.
Slack has 32 years of banking experience, most recently from HomeTrust Bank in Morristown, Tennessee. At First Bank & Trust Company, he will develop commercial lending relationships and provide business solutions to customers in the Northeast Tennessee Region.
Slack is a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in clinical psychology. From 1985-1988, he was a member of the United States Army where he served as Captain and Battalion Intelligence Officer. He furthered his banking education by attending the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending, the School of Consumer Lending and the School of Banking all completed in Tennessee.
Slack is a board member and the 2020 campaign chair of the United Way in Morristown, Tennessee. He is a current board member of the Chamber of Commerce in Morristown, as well as a 2018 graduate from the Chamber's Leadership Morristown initiative and a 2019 Mentor to Helping Young People Excel. He is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Jefferson City, Tennessee. Slack is an active Rotary Club member and the 2020 district campaign chair of Boy Scouts in Morristown. He is also a member of the Social Committee at the Morristown Country Club.
