First American Financial Corporation Announces $150 Million Stock Repurchase Plan
—Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend—
SANTA ANA, Calif., March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF), a leading global provider of title insurance and settlement services for real estate transactions, today announced that its board of directors has approved a new stock repurchase plan, which authorizes the repurchase of up to $150 million of the company's common stock. Purchases may be made from time to time by the company in the open market at prevailing market prices or in privately negotiated transactions.
The board also declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 6 cents per common share. The cash dividend is payable on April 15, 2011, to stockholders of record as of March 31, 2011.
