Firm Has Successful First Year

LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In the toughest legal market in recorded history, the up and coming firm of Elkins Kalt Weintraub Reuben Gartside LLP had a very successful first year.  "We are grateful to our clients and friends," said partner Bill Weintraub.  "With their support and loyalty, not only did we exceed our initial projections, but also had a lot of fun doing so."

During its first year, Elkins Kalt grew from the six founding partners to 17 attorneys and two paralegals.  The firm rapidly outgrew its temporary space, and in April will be moving to its new quarters on the 27th floor of the South Tower at Century Plaza Towers.

"We are very excited about our move," said Real Estate partner Scott Kalt.  "Our new home will allow us to further expand, something which our current space really couldn't accommodate."

A key acquisition during 2010 was Eric Lorenzini, who joined Elkins Kalt from Munger, Tolles & Olsen LLP in July.  Lorenzini, a commercial litigator with more than nine years' experience, was elevated to Partner as of January 1.

Lorenzini's practice includes representation of a diverse range of clients in commercial litigation matters, including cases involving real estate, copyright, trademark, fiduciary duty, fraud, and contract claims.

Most recently, Elkins Kalt added depth to its Land Use department by hiring C.J.
